THE ARCH-ECO DESIGN TEAMThe lead project manager is Markthor, a well-rounded designer with expertise in landscape
architecture, sustainable design, architecture and master planning. Markthor’s architectural
academic background stretches from Eastern Canada to the Nordic Countries.
He has practiced mostly in the private sector as an architect since the 90’s although he has
planned neighborhoods and town or cities since the 80’s. He is also a registered architect
in Europe. Markthor has lived and practiced architecture in several North American and
European cities and now resides on Bone Dry Ridge in Independence Valley, WA.
Markthor has thirty years of experience and participated in sustainable landscape architecture and architectural projects in eleven countries around the world: Countries worked in: Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden and the United States. Arch-Eco Design has alliances and professional support with other architects who participate on larger projects as required. Sidney Hunt is an architect graduate from the University of Oregon who began his academic career as a technical draftsman in British Columbia. Sydney has been a project manager, site architect, and lead architect for firms in Portland, Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
The foundation of any construction project is rooted in the concept and design stages. The concept stage, is one of the major steps in a project life cycle, as it has the largest impact on cost and performance. In designing environmentally optimal buildings, the objective function aims at minimizing the total environmental impact associated with all life-cycle stages of the building project.
